WHY MAKE THIS PART?
We wanted a front load stem that can look good both flipped up and flipped down. And is a straight forward stem that doesn’t look like Swiss cheese.
HOW IS THIS PART DESIGNED SO THAT IT SOLVES THOSE ISSUES?
AND WHAT OTHER IMPOVEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE?
The stem can be used as a mid-rise stem by running it slipped up. The stem was designed with the purpose of looking good whether flipped up or down.
I designed this stem on 3D software with finite element analysis.
Instead of machined externally, the stem is internally machined to remove all unnecessary material. This creates a stronger stem.
All six bolts are heatreated steel with ED black finish and are not hollow for strength.
The stem is smooth and radiused on all sides for a knee friendly and elegant look.
